Full Day Program

Our Preschool and PreKindergarten teachers work together as a team to provide the best possible educational preschool experience for your child. It is our goal for each child to be fully prepared for Kindergarten. Our emergent curriculum is educational, creative, and fun. Our school utilizes the same phonics and math programs as the Reading Public Schools (RPS) Classrooms. Our curriculum focuses on the whole child. Children are challenged and provided man opportunities to learn while having fun and developing friendships that will last a lifetime.

Our full day program includes daily outdoor play, science class, music class, dramatic play, fine motor skill development, Wilson Fundation program, social studies, enrichment activities, and creative art. Professional, caring teachers, in a warm and loving environment, make the perfect combination for exceptional learning. Our indoor sandbox is a huge plus for those days where outdoor play isn’t possible.

At Little Treasures Schoolhouse we are committed to building a family style atmosphere. The children stay with one teacher and classroom during the school year. We do not move children from classroom to classroom. Consistency is important at LTS. Our small class sizes, low teacher to children ratios, and low staff turnover is what makes our school such a success. Children feel valued and loved while they make friendships and learn! All the keys to a nurturing educational environment.

Children 2 years and 9 months may enroll in the preschool program. Little Treasures Schoolhouse does not provide drop-in service. Due to staffing schedules switching days is not permitted. Little Treasures is a full year preschool. We are open all year. Before your child may start school all the necessary paperwork must be completed. A physical dated within the past year, immunizations, and a lead test, must be on file at the school before your child may start.

Registration Fee

A non-refundable registration fee of $60.00 is due with registration. Children will register each January for the following June – September.

Lunch & Snacks

Healthy snacks which include 100% juice or water, and nut free snacks are provided each day. Parents provide lunch for their child.

Start Date

Start dates vary for children in our full day program. Typically our first openings are available the end of June and the beginning of July. Families may choose a start date between June and September. The last start date for the fall would be the week of Labor Day. If we have openings available during the year, we will enroll children during the year.

The children will have a 45 minute playdate or orientation before the start of school (EEC regulations do not permit siblings to attend playdates). The parents will meet with the director and the children will meet with their teacher and the children in their class.
