Owner & Director
Mary Grimmer is dedicated, driven and passionate. Her love for children is evident not only in the care she provides for her own children, but in the way she organizes and manages LTSH. She is constantly in motion, always finding ways to improve the work environment she has created. Her warm and caring ways allow staff, children and parents to feel the love of the LTSH family. Mary brings a strong administrative and business background to LTSH. She has a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration & Finance, with a minor in Economics. From 1995 through 2002, Mary ran a family day care at her home in Reading. In 2002, she fulfilled a personal dream and opened Little Treasures Schoolhouse. She is currently working towards a Masters degree in Early Childhood Education. Mary never stops reaching for her next goal and encourages those around her to keep growing and pursuing their best self!
Assistant Director
Miss Beth is very much at the heart and soul of Little Treasures! She is dependable and is relied upon by everyone in the building! She is always the first one here early in the morning and makes sure the doors are open come rain, snow or sunshine. Beth has worked with Mary Grimmer since 1995 in her family day care. Her typical day would include giving tours, organizing fundraising activities, managing the daily routine of the entire school, as well as teaching in her own full day preschool classroom!
Business Manager
Niloo joined Little Treasures in 2006 as our Business Manager. She brings a strong administrative background and has a Masters Degree in Engineering. Niloo is an invaluable part of the backbone of what keeps our fine school running smoothly!
Teaching Staff
We are so proud of our teachers at Little Treasures Schoolhouse. They truly are what make our program what it is today. Each member of our staff is nurturing and loving, while finding their own way to help each child to be their very best. Each classroom is run by a teacher who is certified as a “Lead Teacher”. This is a rare thing to find in the world of Early Childhood Education. It is one way Little Treasures goes above and beyond to secure the best possible learning environment for your child.

Full Day Pre-Kindergarten Program
Our Pre-K program is full of fun, creative ways of engaging the children in their curriculum. They may not even know that they are gaining the reading, writing, math, and social skills they are going to need so much as they go on to the world of Kindergarten (and beyond)! Full Day Preschool Program
Miss Beth has been described as Mary Grimmer’s “right hand”. She has been with LTSH since it was just an idea! She is our Assistant Director as well as a vibrant, enthusiastic teacher in the full day Preschool Program. She enjoys rolling up her sleeves and getting her own hands dirty with the children. Beth makes each day an adventure for her children. Some favorite activities in her class are going on a bear hunt and obstacle courses!
- Miss Lisa is a warm and gentle person, who brings out the best in all children. She primarily helps with the youngest children in the full day program. She brings to Little Treasures more than twenty years of teaching experience. Her calming presence is evident in any room she enters. With her nurturing instincts she is always patient while encouraging students to do their very best.

Kindergarten Enrichment
Our Kindergarten Enrichment Program is simply the best! This is not just an extended play date. We work with the Reading Public School Department to ensure that we are supporting their Kindergarten curriculum, yet the children are encouraged to take that learning even further. Our classroom is beautifully designed to encourage learning while also engaging the fun and curious side of children at this age. Take a walk through this classroom to see just a piece of all the learning going on!
Miss Cheryl has been with us at LTSH since March of 2003. She spends the majority of her day teaching in the Kindergarten classroom and she works with Pre-K in the afternoons. Cheryl takes a very dynamic approach to the Kindergarten curriculum by always following the children’s interests and involving them in fun, hands-on activities, while teaching them essential reading, math and science skills. Cheryl loves to use music and art to encourage students to think outside of the box!

Half Day Preschool Program
Miss Barbara, along with Miss Mary G., were our first half-day Preschool teachers. Barbara brought with her eleven years of Preschool teaching experience and was instrumental in developing the half-day program and making it the success that it is! Barbara has fantastic organizational skills. Her classroom is such a comfortable place for the children because they know the routine and what is expected of them. Barbara has a knack for bringing out the best in her students by giving them lots of opportunities to develop self-confidence!
Miss Valerie teaches with the half day Preschool Program. She loves to immerse her students in the world of print. The preschoolers benefit so much from the poems Valerie creates and shares with them. Not only does Valerie have a fun approach to engaging the children in their daily lesson plans, but she does so in a very warm and gentle way, sensitive to the needs of each and every child.
Miss Penny teaches in our half day Preschool Program. She is also an after school Group Leader and our main bus driver. She wears many hats at Little Treasures! She brings excellent organizational skills to her class, along with great creativity and a wonderful sense of humor. Arts & crafts are a favorite in her classroom. She really knows how to bring out the best in her children.
Treasures After School Program
The children who come to LTSH After-School adore their teachers and it is easy to see why. These teachers are enthusiastic and love the children they see each day. They are fun-loving and bring out the best in their children. Take a look……
Miss Debby founded the “Treasures After School” Program. Her enthusiasm makes it the success it is today. Debby is both our After School Program Administrator as well as our Music Teacher for the whole school. She also creates the newsletters, summer camp and school vacation camp programs! Debby has all of the components desirable for these positions: she is fun-loving, charismatic, vibrant and youthful! Each day she consistently greets her after school students with a kind comment or compliment. Her music classes are more than just singing songs or playing instruments, they are fully engaging and bursting with energy! Miss Debby initiated our Holiday and Spring Shows. She does a fantastic job each year with our shows! They have become an event the children, staff, and parents are so proud of!
Miss Danielle is the Site Coordinator for our TAS @ LTS program. She has a calm, caring, nurturing manner about her which draws the children to her. Danielle has a wonderful relationship with the children and parents in her program. Her class is a wonderful environment. Danielle has been at LTSH since December of 2004. Her children love to create and learn through play in her classroom.
Miss Crystal is bright, creative and hard working. She is most known for going above and beyond to make each child feel special. She takes a hands-on approach with the kids and is not afraid to get her own hands dirty while having fun!
Mr. Nick has inherited his mother’s love of children! He is intuitive and caring with the children. He really enjoys playing games with the children and getting involved in fun and new activities. The kids absolutely love him! It is a treat when he walks into the room!

Miss Jamie
Assistants
The assistants at Little Treasures are often qualified as preschool teachers on their own. They are an enormous asset to the school as they can move about and bring an extra set of hands and eyes in whichever room they are needed. This is yet another way in which Little Treasures goes above and beyond to be the best school possible. Each job an assistant does, frees the classroom teachers to focus on their students and the fun day they have planned together!
Miss Linda is an extremely self-motivated person, who successfully provides assistance to all staff at LTSH both in and out of the classroom. She is both loved and respected by students in every classroom, and is able to smoothly transition from room to room when necessary.
Miss Theresa has a bright and energetic personality and she is full of creative ideas which she implements throughout our school. She works closely on the NAEYC accreditation process. Constantly in motion, Theresa is always readily available to multi-task, and to do so with a genuine smile that never leaves her face!

Seasonal Assistants
Miss Emily Gingras has an easy-going, funny and cheery personality. She is currently in school with a double major of Early Childhood Education and Psychology. While she is here, the teachers rely on her as an extra right hand. The children shine when she is around them. Her relaxed nature makes her an invaluable helper!
