Registration process · The first step is to come visit our school. Your children are welcome to attend the tour. Please call the school at 781-944-7907 to set up a time for your visit. · We have an annual registration fee of $50.00 for one child or $90.00 per family. We will accept your registration fee if we have space available. · If you would like to be on the wait list you may fill out the registration form, but you do not need to submit a registration fee. We will try to give you an estimate of when your child will be able to enroll. When we have an opening for your child, you may submit the registration fee at that time. Please make sure we have your updated email address. · You will receive a Registration packet, which includes the parent handbook, and registration paperwork. · Before you child may begin, we will need your most recent health form (within the last 12 months), with all department of health immunizations. This includes the Chicken Pox vaccine and a lead test. Please check with your child’s pediatrician to make sure that all requirements are met for the State of MA department of public health. · Before the start of school in September we will have a “Children’s Play Date”. This is about 45 minutes long. This is a time where the children who will be together in September get a chance to meet each other, and their teachers. · If your child is enrolling during the school year, before September, then at least a week before your child’s starts we recommend that you bring your child in to visit the classroom again. At this time you may bring the Enrollment Paperwork, Physical Forms and Immunization, medicines, children’s spare clothes, diapers, diaper wipes, nap time sheet/blanket (for full day preschool), Getting to know your child · It is important to assure that each child has a smooth transition into the school. Please let us know of any concerns or questions you may have regarding the transition. · If your child has any individual health concerns, i.e. medicines, allergies, epipen, we will set up an appointment with just parents, administrator, and teacher to review all information. Please let us know so we may set up an appointment. · If your child is a diverse learner, or has individual or unique concerns that you would like to discuss, please let us know and we will set up a time to meet. Start Dates · Kindergarten Enrichment – This program begins on the first day of Reading Public School · Treasures After School Program - This program begins on the first day of Reading Public School · Half Day Preschool Program - This program begins the second week in September. · Full Day Programs (preschool, Pre-K, Kindergarten Transitions) - Parents and the Administrators determine the start date of children in Full Day Programs. This date will vary depending on availability and the family’s needs. Start dates vary, with some children starting the end of June. The fall classrooms typically start the last week in August. · Treasures Awesome Summer Program – For children entering First Grade or 6 years old by August 31st. What your child will need for the New School Year · Your child will need a regular size backpack (you want to make sure snow pants can fit into their backpack). · An extra set of clothes. Please bring in a gallon size re-sealable bag. Please label your child’s clothes and the bag. · Independence is important at preschool; prepare your child for success by purchasing pants with buttons that are easy to manipulate. · Safety is a priority. We play outdoors daily - sneakers are the recommended footwear. For safety reasons no flip flops are allowed. |
